LifeGroups
LifeGroups are central to our church’s health and growth, creating grace-filled spaces where we can truly belong, share our lives, and explore courageous, authentic faith together. In LifeGroups, we open ourselves to God, and encourage each other to find and follow Jesus in every corner of our lives - our homes, schools, workplaces, and neighbourhoods. LifeGroups help us practice all six of our church priorities: Encountering, Committing, Welcoming, Growing, Serving, and Sharing.

Our current Lifegroups are listed below - they meet on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, in and around Crediton. If you'd like to join a group, please click on the relevant button to email Hannah, and she'll put you in touch with the LifeGroup leader.

Monday afternoon | Church
We meet every Monday afternoon at 2.30pm, in church. It’s a safe, real space to chat life, explore faith, dig into the Bible, and pray. No pressure. No weird rules. But that’s not all. Occasionally we’ll throw in something different; something hands-on, creative, or food-based. So if you’re up for growing in your faith, honest conversation, and a bit of practical fun, you’re in the right place.

Tuesday evening | Central
We meet in a home in central Crediton. We are a long-standing group excited to make room for new members. We want to share our lives with each other, valuing deep relationships between the group members, where we are not being afraid of being ‘real’ with each other. We’re passionate about exploring the bible and seeking God in prayer and worship.

Tuesday evening | Central
We meet near to the church, we’ve really enjoyed having a few new members recently but are keen to welcome more. We like to explore our faith and beliefs, sharing different views, not being afraid of difficult or controversial questions or doubt. We’re wanting to ask again and again, ‘what does Jesus Christ mean for us today?’ We like robust conversation and big ideas!

Tuesday evening | East
We meet at the east end of Crediton and we always start with tea, coffee and biscuits! We want to see how the words in the Bible that we are exploring on Sundays hit the road in our Monday to Saturday lives. We're keen to be authentic, practical and not afraid of searching questions as we seek to grow in relationship with each other and with God.

Wednesday evening | North
Our group meets up near the top of Alexandra Road. We are an established and welcoming group which loves studying the bible and cherishing the faith that has been handed on to us. Lots of us have been Christians for a long time but we’re really keen to welcome newer Christians too.

Wednesday evening | West of Crediton
We meet in a home just outside of Crediton, serving those in outlying villages west and south of Crediton. We know that God’s word is central to our lives and we love digging into it and seeking to learn and grow as we do. We also want to support each other through life’s ups and downs, especially through prayer.

Wednesday evening | Church
Our group meets in the church where there is easy access and lots of space. We have lots of different ages and stages in our group and we love getting to know about each other’s different lives and experiences. We enjoy the diversity that there is in the group and appreciate how much we can learn from each other and together. Some of us have been Christians for a long time, others are enjoying exploring a new faith, all of us are keen to grow.

Wednesday evening | Zoom
This group does what it says on the tin! Especially for those who live a little further from the church or for whom getting to the building is not always straightforward. Meeting via the internet can make our sessions more focussed and concise, so our group might suit you well if you want to do life group but don’t have loads of spare time for it. Bring your own tea and biscuits, don’t forget to put your pants on. We will meet in person for fun with Caroline’s group from time to time too.

WILDlifeGroup
Ours is a group which meets slightly less frequently and is suitable for those in church and those who aren’t sure what to make of church. We meet outside as often as inside, seeking God and his refreshing presence in the world around us. We aim to enjoy God's creation, to grow closer to Jesus, to find creative ways to pray and grow, to care for each other, act on issues that are on our hearts.
